Support Worker

The available role would support participants with a complex mental health diagnosis. The role is largely in isolation with participants and the successful applicant would have demonstrated experience in the following: 

• Supporting people with challenging behaviours including Acquired Brain Injury and Epilepsy 
• Supporting people with complex trauma
• Prader Willi Syndrome 
• Restrictive practices training
• Adheres to specific mealtime management
• Strong Communication skills

The Role

Location: Ellis Lane and Spring Farm, NSW

Employment: Permanent Part-time and casual

Remuneration: $33.41 per hour + super + salary packaging 

As a Support Worker, you will work collaboratively with the Accommodation Services team to support and provide service to participants in line with the values of the organisation.

Essential Criteria

• Supporting people with challenging behaviours including Acquired Brain Injury, Epilepsy and Prader Willi Syndrome
• Ability and willingness to provide personal care and support activities of daily living in a residential setting
• Current driver licence (minimum P2)
• Satisfactory background checks including NDIS Workers Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Minimum 4 days of availability for a 24/7 roster
• Valid First Aid Certificate and CPR (HLTAID011) 
• Certificate 3 in Individual Support or related (desirable)
• Have personal mobile device to access systems and apps. that meets our system requirements (i.e. for Apple: iPhone 7 or later; for Android: devices released in the last three years)
